Liverpool and Everton are in a battle to land Derby star Will Hughes.
Liverpool are leading the chase for Hughes, and are expected to make another bid for the 18-year-old in January after targeting him during the summer transfer window.
However, Brendan Rodgers faces a threat from Roberto Martinez for Hughes, with the Everton boss sending two scouts to watch him star for the Rams against Bolton.
Derby earned a 2-2 draw at the Reebok, with Hughes contributing an assist before limping off in the second half.
Hughes has already been compared with Reds captain Steven Gerrard, and Liverpool are keeping a close eye on his progress this season. (Daily Express)
The lad is destined for the Premier League and both sides will do whatever they can to nail down his signature
