Chelsea have now entered the race to try and prise Cesc Fabregas away from the Nou Campo in the summer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Fabregas has been the subject of some surprising transfer talk in the last few months, as he has become very disillusioned with life at the Nou Camp after failing to hold down a regular starting spot

But Barca are unlikely to sanction a move unless they can recoup the £25million that they paid Arsenal for the midfielder two years ago.

The Gunners do have a buy-back clause at around £25million allowing them first refusal on Fabregas’s next move, but first they would have to convince him to return to the Emirates. (

The blues would love to acquire the services of Fabregas, but would have to beat off Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City in the process.

So it will be very interesting to see how this all develops in the summer window.
