Chelsea have made a move for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, with a whopping bid of £49.3 million.
The blues have been looking to acquire the services of a world class striker and have now switched their attentions to Cavani, after missing out on Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.
And the Daily Mirror claim Chelsea have made a massive £49.3 million move for the striker, as Jose Mourinho has made him his number one summer target.
However, Cavani has a £53.6m buyout clause in his contract, and the Italian club’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has previously claimed he will not sell his best player for less than that amount so it will be interesting to see if they accept the bid.
We have previously reported that Napoli expect talks with Chelsea in the coming days, so the future of Cavani could be sorted out in the very near future.
