Chelsea have been given a boost in their chase for highly-rated Vitesse Arnhem star Marco van Ginkel after his agent ruled out a move to Ajax.
The lad was rated as talent of the year in Holland and has been attracting interest from the Europa League winners after some stunning performances.
However, the blues had competition from Ajax and staying in Holland looked like a real possibility.
But his representative Karel Jansen believes a move to Amsterdam is unlikely, which will give Chelsea’s boost a chase.
As quoted on the TalkSport website, he said: “The chance that Marco goes to Ajax has become minimal. Marco has a contract for two years in Arnhem, so then the story ends.”
The lad is showing real potential and would suit the style of play at Stamford Bridge. So all they have to do is make a move and he is seemingly there’s.
