Arsenal will not need to look for a new right-back in the summer window, as Bacary Sagna is reportedly ready to commit himself to the club according to reports on the Sunday Mirror.

The aging star has been heavily linked with a summer switch to French moneybags PSG after an indifferent season for the Gunners.

However, boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club are still hoping to persuade Sagna to sign a new deal as his current contract only has 12 months to run and end all speculation about where he will be at the end of the summer window.

The defender is one of the best right-backs in the country and although he has been plagued by injuries in the last few seasons, there aren’t many out there that could replace him if he decides to knock back a new contract and leave.
